Mozelle Martha Chastain Anderson, age 95, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023. She was born in Fannin County, to the late Paul Walton Chastain and Beulah Josephine Tarpley Chastain. She was a member of Youngs Chapel Baptist Church. Mozelle worked for many years at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Grover Anderson; grandson, Russ Babb; and siblings, Pauline Chastain, Wilma Horton, Glen Chastain, Wendell Chastain, Mamie Hart, and Rev. Worth Chastain.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, David and Cindy Anderson and Paul and Shannon Anderson; granddaughter, Amber Anderson Heck, and her husband Chris Heck; great-granddaughters, Ashlynn Secuskie and Lyla Heck; siblings, Alice Ratcliff, Betty Shook, and Paul Chastain; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 1:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Mark Chastain and Rev. Richard Chastain officiating. Interment will follow in the Youngs Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Connor Rhodes, Zack Ratcliff, Eddie Chastain, Robert "Sonny" Chastain, Chris Heck, and Joel Chastain. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dee Horton, Britt Chastain, Alan Tuggle, Jerry Ward, Scott Anderson, and Michael Chastain. The family will visit with friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
