Mr. Morris Eugene Brackett, better known as "Gene", passed away on October 20, 2016. Born in Ellijay, GA, he was the son of the late Morris William and Dessie Mae Parks Brackett. He was a member of the Salem Baptist Church in Gilmer County, and loved playing with children and fishing. Survivors include his niece, Ann (Billy) Patterson; great nieces, Kristy Patterson, Brittany Patterson and Kayla Patterson; great great grand nieces are Ashlynn, Landon, Abel, Serenity, Sydney, and Triston Patterson, all of Blue Ridge, GA.Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Gilmer County, GA. Rev. Tommy Hayes has been selected to officiate.
