Monalee Hicks Ray, age 65 of Benton, TN passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Fannin Regional Hospital. She was born on January 8, 1954 in Copperhill, TN to the late Isaac Jake Hicks and Helen Holmes Bell Hicks. Monalee worked at Goldkist as a quality control inspector. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Monalee was proceeded in death by her parents and husband, Randolph Ray. Survivors are son, Billy Wayne Sisson; brothers, Lloyd Hicks (Sarah) of Blue Ridge, Grady Hicks of Benton, TN and Daniel Hicks (Beatrice) of Copperhill, TN; sister, Rachel Davis (Tom) of McCaysville, GA; nephew, Cody Hicks and nieces, Sheila Taylor, Sherry Keith and Tammy Chancey. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Cheatham officiating. Music was by Rev. Randy Hughes and Tammy. Interment followed in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Copperhill, TN.
