Mitchell Melton Payne, age 80, of Turtletown, TN passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Tennova Healthcare of Cleveland, TN. He was born on March 30, 1940 in Polk County, TN to the late Mountie Payne and Della Cantrell Payne. Mitchell worked for Real Tree as a tree trimmer. He was a member of Community Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife of fifty-one years, Rosie Payne of Turtletown, TN; sons, Randy Payne (Susie), Edward Payne (Donna), Randall Payne (Elizabeth), Neil Prince (Anita) and Melvin Prince (Ann); grandchildren, Tiffany Payne, Brett Payne, Brooklyn Payne, Brandon Payne, Dillon Payne, Grace Payne, Ashley Reichert, Candice Turner, Logan Prince, Tommy Prince and Timmy Prince and great-grandchildren, Emory Payne, Coraline Reichert and Adilyne Turner also survived. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 from the Community Baptist Church with Rev. Mitchell Allen and Rev. Jonathan Smith officiating. Music was provided by Tammy Ware and family. Interment followed in the Community Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bill Newman, Willie Chambers, Brian Taylor, Trevor Payne, Avery Akins, Brandon Payne, Dillon Payne and Russell Towl.
