Miriam Ann Poe Mitchell, age 83, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018 in Ducktown, TN. Born on April 2, 1934 in , she was the daughter of the late Doc Estus Poe and Mariam Annette Prince Poe. Ann was a member of Morganton Baptist Church. She owned and taught at a private preschool in St. Louis, MO. After moving back to Blue Ridge in 1977, she opened Ann's Flowers and Gifts. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She is preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister. Ann is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Verna Mitchell of Windsor, CO; daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and Tim Passmore of Blue Ridge; grandchildren, Zachary (Jill) Mitchell, Ryan Ritchie, Cory Mitchell, Tyler Ritchie, Natasha Taylor; great-grandchildren, Josephine Mitchell, Leo Taylor, and Gabriel Taylor; and a brother, Sam Poe of Keokuk, IA.
