Minnie Pearl Mashburn, age 76, of Farner passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026. Minnie was born on November 27, 1949 in McCaysville to the late Homer Lee Hicks and Gertrude Lillian Jones Hicks. She loved the Lord with all of her heart and was member of the Farner Church of God. Minnie was known to always be found saying, "God bless you" and "I love you" to those she came in contact with. She loved gardening and tending to her flowers. Minnie loved all children, and always loved when they gathered at her house.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Gertrude Hicks; husband, Douglas Wayne Mashburn; grandson, Michael Mashburn; and siblings, Troy Hicks, Lynn Pate, Syd Hicks, Lillian Dillard, Betty Allen, and Becky Womble.

Minnie is survived by her children, Delena Mashburn of Chattanooga, Pearly (Catheline) Mashburn of Farner, Stacey (Gail) Mashburn of Chatsworth, Jessie (Senia) Mashburn of Benton, Jeff Mashburn of Farner, and Amanda (Josh) Perkins of Farner; grandchildren, Carla Taylor, A.J. Massey, Kisha Deshirlea, William Mashburn, Casey Mashburn, Elizabeth Hawkins, Sarah Hawkins, Josh Mashburn, Katie Mashburn, Jeffrey Hunter Mashburn, and Trenton Perkins; great-grandchildren, Jaden Taylor, Chase Taylor, Leland Taylor, Landon Taylor, Jazzmine Taylor, Makenna Mashburn, Ashton Mashburn, Iris Ashe, Hannah Deshirlea, Kelsey Deshirlea, Bethany Deshirlea, Hogan Deshirlea, Sophie Massey, and Anthony Massey; brothers, Lunia (Sybil) Ray Hicks, T.J. Hicks, and Melvin Hicks; and sister-in-law, Margaret Farner.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 11:00 AM from the Akins-Cobb Funerals & Cremations of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Jonathan Smith and Rev. Guinn Green officiating. Music will be provided by Clara Reid and Andrea Bateman. Interment will follow in the Brock Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joshua Mashburn, William Mashburn, Casey Mashburn, Hunter Mashburn, A.J. Massey, and Sarah Hawkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Elizabeth Hawkins and Katie Mashburn. The family will receive friends at Akins-Cobb of Copperhill on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM.
