Mrs. Mildred Hale Way, affectionately called 'Meme' age 95, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at her home. Born in Dexter City, OH, she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Katherine Hale. She was the oldest of six siblings that precedes her in death. Mildred graduated from Saint Luke's Hospital School of Nursing in Cleveland, OH. She was a long time member of the United Methodist Church of Lake Placid, FL where she had lived for many years. Mrs. Way had practiced as a Private duty Registered Nurse in Miami, FL for twenty five years. Survivors include one Daughter, Sonja L. Bass of Blue Ridge, GA; two grandchildren, Steven Alan Laing of Mooresville, NC and Sherry Ann Rogers of Morganton, GA; six great grandchildren, Chase Laing, Wade Laing, Kayla Kennedy, Candace Rogers, Grace Rogers and Summer Rogers. Graveside services were Friday, June 26, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. from the Chastain Memorial Park with Chaplain Joe Kemper officiating. In lieu of Flowers the family requested donations in memory of Mrs. Way to be made to the Amedisys Hospice at 140 Progress Circle Suite 3 Blue Ridge, GA 30513 or the Kessler Community Clinic at P.O.
