Mildred Leona Greene, age 90, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Greene was born September 27, 1924 in Suit, NC. She worked as a clerk at Blue Ridge Pharmacy. She was a member of New Antioch Baptist Church and the Blue Ridge Homemakers Club. Mrs. Greene was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Greene; parents, Abner and Lydia Payne Williamson; three brothers, Ceylon Williamson, Calvin Williamson, and Marvin Williamson; and two sisters, Vida Foster and Wilda Scroogs.She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Phillip and Jane Green; daughter, Pamela Millwood of Blue Ridge; brothers, Ray Williamson of Marble, NC, Basil Williamson of Chamblee, GA, and Dean Williamson of Bowden, GA; four grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.Funeral services were conducted Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Joe Dan Wilkins and Rev. Michael Pope officiating. Music was by the New Antioch Church Choir, Dustin Green and Ashlee Ingram. Pallbearers were Adam Millwood, Matt Green, Hubert Stewart, Jack Adams, Travis Cone and Jason Cobb. Interment followed in Chastain Memorial Park.
