Mr. Micheal Mealer, age 65, of Mineral Bluff, GA passed away on April 9, 2017 in the Seasons Hospice in Cumming, GA. Born in Copperhill, TN, he was the son of the late Ruby Mealer Gibbs. He was a retired Shop Foreman for the Cleveland Roofing Company in Cleveland, TN. Mr. Mealer was of the Baptist faith. He was also preceded in death by a son, Richard Wright.Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Cynthia Wright of the home; children and their spouses, Michael and Joyce Mealer of Mineral Bluff, GA, Julie Seabolt of McCaysville, GA, Brent and Julie Wright of Morganton, GA and Amanda and Jason Deal of Copperhill, TN; Father, Ernest Gibbs of Mineral Bluff, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Vicky and Cubby Maney of Cherokee, NC; niece, Elizabeth Maney of Cherokee, NC; grandchildren, Bralee Deal, Nevaeh Shields, Damion Hilton, Kyla Seabolt, Josie Bowers, Heather Burk and Franklin Burk; great grandchild, Doyle Burk.Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lloyd Deal officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Zion (Tumbling Creek) Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Brent Wright, Franklin Burk, Chris Young, Bob Shields, Roger Ritchie and Johnny Mealer.
