Michael Ray Penwell, age 65, of Blue Ridge, Georgia, passed away at his home on Monday, January 26, 2026.

Michael was born on October 19, 1960, in Cullman, Alabama. For many years, he dedicated himself to the construction industry.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lou McBrayer Stewart; and his siblings, James Penwell, Lynn Hogan, and William Stewart.

He is survived by his daughter, Gina Shanta Penwell of Blue Ridge, Georgia; his grandchildren, Greyson Penwell, Kolton Penwell, and Dakota Wright, all of Blue Ridge, Georgia; his sister, Barbara Penwell of McCaysville, Georgia; along with other extended family members and many dear friends.
