Michael Eugene Moreland, age 59, of Turtletown, TN passed away Saturday, February 11, 2012. Mr. Moreland was born in Fulton County, GA to the late Barnett Marvin and Sarah Cobb Moreland. He was employed with Spartech Plastics working as a Maintenance Foreman and was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Gillespie Moreland of the home; sons, Michael Eugene Moreland, Jr of Dunwoody, GA, Steven Jay (Deanna) Moreland of AL, Cameron Chase Moreland of Turtletown, TN, Mackenzie Curtis Casey of Atlanta, GA and Christopher Brian (Carlie) Moreland of Villa Rica, GA; sister, Brenda Jones of Powder Springs, GA; nine grandchildren.Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, February 14th at 1:00 p.m. from the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with Pastor Richard Morrow officiating. Pallbearers will include Michael Moreland, Jr, Chase Moreland, Johnny Moreland, Andrew Moreland, Brian Casey and Steven Moreland. Honorary pallbearers include, Billy Nix, Russell Loudermilk, Marc Loudermilk, Josh Loudermilk and Danny Allison. The family will receive friends at the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Monday evening from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in memory of Mr. Moreland to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
