Michael James Millholland, age 42, of Morganton, GA passed away Sunday, August 14, 2011 at his home. Mr. Millholland was born in Copperhill, TN on July 30, 1969. He was self-employed and of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Sheryl Millholland of Morganton; son, Dustin Millholland of Morganton; mother and stepfather, Kathleen and Bobby Jones; father and stepmother, James and Junell Millholland; sister and brother-in-law, Melissa and Matt Sutherland of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; stepsister and her husband, Tara and Brandon Hembree of Sugar Hill, GA. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Eric Davenport officiating. Music was by Linda and Ronald Hyde, Danny Davenport, and Margaret Ferguson. Pallbearers were Danny Davenport, Greg Wallace, Brian Dye, Eddy Beaver, Ernie Allen, and Kenneth Allen, Jr. Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Abercrombie, Damon Davenport, Eric Turner, Scott Rogers, Donnie Nicholson, Bo Abercrombie, Randy Abercrombie, Carol Smith and Tom Hooper. Interment followed in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge was in charge of arrangements. .
