Michael John Kinman, age 50, of Morganton, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026 at his home. He was born on January 28, 1976, in Blairsville. Michael enjoyed woodworking and welding. He had a deep love for his son, Jordan and was actively involved in his activities. He volunteered his time assisting in Cub Scout Pack 432 in Epworth for many years. He is preceded in death by his father, Donny G. Kinman.

Michael is survived by his son, Jordan Kinman; mother, Juanita Kinman; brother and sister-in-law, David and Tammy Kinman; brother, Daniel Kinman; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Scott Mealer; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 25, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Ed Philo officiating. Rev. Grady Ray will provide music. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Monday afternoon from 12:00 PM until the service hour of 2:00 PM.
