Michael Kosta Karrantza, age 84, of Acworth, GA passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. Michael was born on December 16, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan. He served his country in the United States Army. Michael was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Kennesaw, GA. As a sports fan, he enjoyed watching the Tennessee Vols football and the Atlanta Braves. In his free time, Michael enjoyed reading books.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Karrantza; children, Pamela Deese, and Michael Kosta Karrantza III; grandchildren, Blake Deese, Brooke Land, Justin Deese, Cecily Burns, and Colton Karrantza; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026 at 12:30 PM from the New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the Akins-Cobb of Copperhill on Friday, July 10, 2026 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
