Michael James Howell, age 68, of Blue Ridge, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at his home. He was born on June 10, 1955 in Piedmont, Alabama to James Jarvis Howell and Shirley Louise Fortenberry Howell. He is preceded in death by his father; and sister, Marie (John) Holland.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Beverly Dunn Howell; son, Michael Lee (Alice) Howell; daughter, Melissa Jane (T.J.) Anderson; mother, Shirley Louise Adams; siblings, Ricky Howell, David (Sharon) Howell, and Tammy Howell; grandchildren, Trilan (Montana) Howell, Brittany Howell, Nathan Anderson, Jasmine Anderson, Trenton Anderson, and Kinslee Anderson; and great-grandchild, Delta Howell.

A memorial service to celebrate Michael's life was held on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 3:00 PM in the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Austin officiating. The family visited with friends at the funeral home on Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 2:00 PM until the service hour of 3:00 PM.
