Michael Patrick Collins, age 65 of Turtletown, TN passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at the Life Care Center of Copper Basin in Ducktown, TN. He was born on Friday, March 18, 1949 in Polk County, TN to the late Pat and Josephine Deal Collins. Michael was self employed as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in NC and the Ducktown Masonic Lodge #241 F&AM. Michael was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Phebea Ellen Collins. Survivors are friend and former wife, Patricia Collins of Turtletown, TN; son, Patrick Collins of Turtletown, TN; brother, Jim Collins of Copperhill, TN; a large number of other relatives and friends also survive. A Memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Trentham officiating. Music will be by Calla Mae Miller.
