Melissa Plush Mashburn, age 43, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away on September 17, 2018 in the Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA. She was born in Ellijay, GA to the late Charles Robert and Frances Irene Dawson Plush. Mrs. Mashburn had worked as a LPN for Heritage Health Care. She also attended Calvary Holiness Church. Survivors include her husband, Rick Mashburn of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Cody Mashburn and Dionna Sisson and Josh and Brittany Mashburn; daughter, Larissa Mashburn all of Blue Ridge, GA; brother, Phillip Wells of New Orleans, LA; sisters, Charlotte Kilpatrick of Cherry Log, GA and Trish Hamler of New Orleans, LA; and six grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rex Mashburn officiating. Interment followed in the Sunrise Tabernacle Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Rick Mashburn, Cody Mashburn, Josh Mashburn, Larry Prince, Ben Weaver and Marvin Patterson.
