Mrs. Maxine Lee, age 84, of Ellijay, GA, passed away on June 21, 2015. Born in Epworth, GA she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Adeline Petty Queen. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James C. Lee; brothers, Arthur "Bud", James, T.J. and Oscar Queen; sisters, Pauline Queen Green, Lorene Queen Green and Christine Queen Thomas. Mrs. Lee was also a member of the New River Baptist Church.Survivors include her children and their spouses, Shirley Lee Odum and Kenneth of Blue Ridge, Sharon Lee Fendley and Lamar of Ellijay, GA, James Lee and Janice of Dallas, GA, and John Lee and Sheila of Epworth, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Leon and Judy Queen of Murphy, NC; grandchildren, Cheryl Odum Walker, Sherry Odum Clark, Serena Odum Watkins, Melodie Fendley Watkins, Jodi Fendley Williams, Brannon Lee and Jenna Lee Whatley; great grandchildren, Zach and Will Walker, Tyler and Libby Welch, Isaac Watkins, Grace Watkins, Gabe Watkins, Cooper Williams, Cash Williams and Brandon Lee; and many nieces and nephews.Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eric Colson officiating. Music will be provided by Tracie Pospiscle and Rev. Colson. Interment will follow in the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery.
