Mr. Max Green, age 84, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away on October 13, 2015 at his home following an extended illness. Born in Blue Ridge, GA, he was the son of the late Edna Green Braswell. He served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army. Max retired for Lockheed where he had worked as a Journeyman Fuselage Technician. Survivors include several cousins. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday October 15, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Father Brandon Doyle officiating. Music will be provided by Imogene Stewart. Interment will follow in the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Serving as pallbearers will be Rex Miller, Rusty Rhodes, James "Beagle" Bearden, Bob King, Sr., Allen Ward and Tom Lackey. Special friends of Max's will serve as honorary pallbearers.
