Mr. Max Fisher, age 85, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Friday, February 15, 2019 in the Fannin Regional Hospital in Blue Ridge, GA. Mr. Fisher was born on April 6, 1933 in Ten Mile, TN to the late Clyde Fisher and Lucy Roberts Fisher. He was retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service. Mr. Fisher was also retired from the Anniston Army Depot in Anniston, AL after 18 years of service as an Electronics Calibration Technician. Mr. Fisher then went on to work several years at Zaxby's in Blue Ridge. Mr. Fisher and his wife had been members of Eastside Church of Christ for many years but had most recently attended and been members of the McCaysville Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Beasley Fisher. Mr. Fisher is survived by two sons, Roger Allen Fisher and his wife Beth Fisher of Newnan, GA, and Ronald Keith Fisher of Milton, GA; brother, C.L. Fisher of Ten Mile, TN; sisters, Reba Letner of Ten Mile, TN, Mildred Turnipseed, and Sue Sisk of Rossville, GA; and three grandchildren, Reagan Fisher, Stephen Fisher, and Emily Fisher. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Min. Roy Conner and Min. Keith Ritchie officiating. Congregational singing will be led by Vance Ingle. Graveside services and interment will be conducted on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time from Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with full military honors provided by the United States Air Force from Maxwell AFB. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans online at www.dav.org.
