Maudie Sue Self Campbell, age 89, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at her home. Born on October 10, 1929 in Blue Ridge, GA, she was the daughter of the late Oscar John and Berdtie Dillinger Self. She was of the Baptist faith. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Leffell Haskel Campbell; son, Randy Thomas; and sisters, Willa Mae Gray and Dorothy Lee Green. She is survived by her children, Bobby (Laura) Campbell of North Carolina, Randall (Sara) Campbell of South Carolina, Jim Rice of Alabama, and Sherrill (Gene) Davis of Ellijay; fourteen grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 17, 2018, at 11:00 am from Akins Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Tom Jordan will officiate. Pallbearers will be Richard Green, Dan Green, Paul Collins and Drew Nord. Interment will follow in the Chastain Memorial Park.
