Mrs. Maudean Farmer, age 78 of Blue Ridge, GA passed away on Monday, August 12, 2013, at Fannin Regional Hospital. She was born Wednesday, November 14, 1934. Mrs. Farmer was a member and Sunday School teacher at Temple Baptist Church. She was employed by Emanuel Baptist Church as a Kindergarten Director. Survivors are her husband, Gilliam Farmer of Blue Ridge, GA; son, Mr. Phillip Farmer of Blue Ridge, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy and Barry Keen of McDonough, GA and Betsy and Bill Brown of Locust Grove, GA; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; cousins; relatives and friends also survive.Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with the Dr. Roger Beck and Rev. Hinton Harris officiating. Music was by Beverly Thompson and Greg Norton. Interment followed in the Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery, Pallbearers were Jeff Farmer, Joshua Keen, B.J. Brown, Benjamin Brown, Brandon Brown and Larry Nicholson. Memorial contributions may be sent in memory of Mrs. Farmer to Temple Baptist Church, P.O. Box 143, Blue Ridge, GA 30513.
