Maryanne Alice Martin, age 71, of Blue Ridge, Georgia passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at her home. She was born on August 23, 1955 in Holyoke, Massachusetts.


Maryanne is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Martin; mother, Lorraine Reynolds; father, William Reynolds; and sister, Maureen Childress.


She is survived by her children, Allison Martin of Atlanta, Georgia and Christopher Martin (Linsey) of Blue Ridge, Georgia; and grandchildren, Carsyn Martin and Stetton Martin.


Maryanne was a devoted member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Blue Ridge, where her faith was an important part of her life.

A natural caretaker, Maryanne found great fulfillment in her long and meaningful career as a registered nurse, including her time at Fannin Regional Hospital. Caring for others came naturally to her, and she touched many lives through both her profession and her generous spirit.

Outside of her career, Maryanne found joy in the simple things she loved most. She had a passion for gardening and took great pride in nurturing her flowers and plants. Above all, her family was her greatest joy. She cherished her children and grandchildren and especially loved watching them play sports, always cheering them on.

Maryanne will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her caring heart, gentle spirit, and love for her family will remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.


A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, October 3rd at 11 am at Saint Anthony's Catholic Church in Blue Ridge, GA.
