Mary Griffith Gartrell Talbert, age 89, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018 in Winder, GA. She was born on December 11, 1928 to the late William Ben Gartrell and Bonnie Griffith Gartrell. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Blue Ridge and had recently attended First Baptist Church of Winder. She worked for more than 30 years as a CPA, starting her long career with Cherry Bekaert and Holland. She is preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Walter E. Taylor, Jr.; second husband, Billy Talbert; and brother, Ben Gartrell, Jr. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, W. Phillip and Sharon Taylor of Winder, GA, Benjamin L. and Lorrie Taylor of Eufala, AL, and Michael G. and Phyllis Taylor of Snellville, GA; grandchildren, Dawn Taylor Lumpkin, Benjamin Taylor Jr., Brian (Alex) Taylor, Karen Taylor, and April Taylor; and great-grandchildren, Saige Lumpkin and Charlie Taylor.Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 1:00 pm from the First Baptist Church of Blue Ridge with Rev. Bob Richardson officiating. Music was provided by Rev. Bob Richardson and Pat Young. Interment followed in the Griffith Family Cemetery.
