Obituary

Mary Ann Stover, age 64, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away on June 10, 2026.

She was born on March 27, 1962 in Blue Ridge, Georgia to the late Lewis Fred Stover and Izora Early Stover.

Mary Ann was a devoted mother and grandmother whose greatest joy in life was her family. She loved her two daughters and cherished every moment spent with her beloved grandchildren, showering them with love, encouragement, and unwavering support. She was a woman of faith and found comfort and strength in reading her Bible. She was an avid sports fan who faithfully cheered on the University of Kentucky Wildcats basketball team and enjoyed watching Georgia Bulldogs football. Mary Ann embraced life with a loving heart and a joyful spirit. Her kindness and her smile will be forever remembered and deeply missed.

Along with her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Stover, Shirley Nicholson, and Barbara Queen; brother, Troy Stover; and special friend, Jerry Mills.

She is survived by her daughters, Amy Roberts and Jamie Beavers; grandchildren, Destiny Hamlin, Baileigh Hamlin, Jacob Morrow, Joslyn Morrow; and Jaclyn Morrow; great-grandchild, Paisley Hamlin; brothers, Louie "Buck" Stover, William (Fay) Stover, Jerry (Freida) Stover, Billy (Brenda) Stover, Bobby (Sandra) Stover, Tommy Stover, and Timmy (Teresa) Stover; sisters, Carolyn (Howard) Beavers, Patricia (Wendell) Allen, and Vanessa Stover; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives, and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at 3:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Pastor Charlie Wellham and Nathan Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jacob Morrow, Jamie Morrow, Wendell Allen, Kevin Stover, Eli Hughes, Jason Mercer, Nathan Hughes, and Jon Hall. The family will visit with friends at the Akins-Cobb Funerals & Cremations of Blue Ridge, Georgia prior to the service on Wednesday from 12:00 PM unitl 3:00 PM.
