The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces the death of Mary Kathryn Schneller, age 66 of Turtletown, TN who passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Copper Basin Medical Center. She was born on June 7, 1946 in Cleveland, OH. Mary owned an animal rescue shelter. She was the president for many years of the Homeward Bound Animal Rescue. She was preceded in death by her father, John Joseph Schneller.Survivors include her companion, Ann Townsend of Tutletown, TN, mother, Kathryn Mary McNamera Schneller of Ducktown, TN; brothers, David Schneller of Dalton, GA and Fred Schneller of Clearwater, FL; sister, Sally Schoefield (Frank) of Dallas, TX.Mary was cremated and no services are planned.
