Mary Kathryn "Cathy" Panther, age 72, of Copperhill passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. Cathy was born on September 12, 1952 in Copperhill to the late Clarence Hubbard and Avia Newberry Hubbard. She was a member of Bethel Church. Cathy is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Robert "Bobby" Cochran, and second husband, Jerry Panther; and brother, Charles Hubbard.

She is survived by her children, Gabbie (Andy Jones) Rhodes, and Sabrina (Robert) Coleman; grandchildren, Katie Dillard, Michael (Maddy) Wilson, Zoie (Timothy) Leslie, Mason (Olivia) Rhodes, and Anna Rhodes; great-grandchildren, Taven Dillard, Kiera Dillard, Maclee Dillard, Kinson Hill, John Owen Rhodes, Carter Wilson, Lily Leslie, and Beau Leslie; siblings, Joyce Haren, Judy Hubbard, Max Hubbard, and Ray (Joann) Hubbard; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at 3:00 PM from the Chapel at the Akins-Cobb of Copperhill with Rev. Gary Parris officiating. Music was provided by Kathy Fowler-Topolewski and Raven Welch Harris. Interment followed in the Bethel Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers, Zackery Clepper, John Michael Haren, Charles Garner, Jason Hubbard, Mason Rhodes, Michael Wilson, and Timothy Leslie. The family visited with friends at the funeral home on Sunday prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
