Mary Ann Watkins Morgan, 75, of Covington, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Piedmont Newton. She was born in Ellijay, GA, July 7, 1945 and is preceded in death by mother and step-father Willie Maude Ray and Herschel Goble; brothers, James Watkins and Harold Watkins. Mary was a gifted cook and her family enjoyed sharing the meals she made. She enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens and going to the beach. She loved making new friends and staying in touch. Mary really was an example of a person who overcame difficult circumstances in her life and she always supported the underdog. She will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her. Mary is survived by her children, Duane Morgan of Peachtree Corners and Wendy Pippin of Covington; siblings and their spouses, Elmer and Sharon Watkins of Ellijay, George and Carol Watkins of Ellijay, Doris Franklin of Ellijay and Wayne and Teresa Watkins of Ellijay. A Memorial Service was held on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. from the Wheeler Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Max Feener officiating.
