The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces funeral services for Mrs. Mary Lee Rackley McAfee, age 90, of Blue Ridge who passed away on November 28, 2010 in Heritage Health Care. Born on November 29, 1919 in Fannin County, GA she was the daughter of the late William Rackley and Clara Davenport Rackley. She and her late husband, James Collier (J.C.) McAfee were the owners of McAfee's Grocery Store. Mrs. McAfee was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, William Zetler Rackley and John Calvin Rackley; sisters, Lorraine Jones, Marcy Graves and Hortense Satterfield. Survivors include one daughter, Donna Lee Neal of Blue Ridge, GA; two grandchildren, Dennis and wife, Donna Neal of Maryville, TN and Melinda Neal of Blue Ridge, GA; five great grandchildren, Matthew and Christopher Neal, Stephanie and Jesse Deal, Joshua Neal and Sarah Lee; two great-great grandchildren, Justin and Whitney Deal. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Robert Fancher officiating. Music will be provided by Ashley Hold, Carroll Ledbetter, and Barbara Sauder. Interment will follow in the Hemptown Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Arvil Patterson, Matthew Neal, Christopher Neal, Jesse Deal and Joshua Neal. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Donations in memory of Mrs. McAfee may be made to the Hemptown Cemetery Fund P.O.
