Mary Lou Ledford, age 60, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024 in Atlanta. She was born on April 21, 1964 in McCaysville, to the late Roy Ledford and Pauline Botts Ledford. Mary Lou attended Macedonia Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Billy Ledford; and nephew, Benjamin Ledford.

Mary Lou is survived by her sisters, Carolyn Shuler and Rose Smith; nieces and nephews, Andy Grizzle, Ashley Grizzle Hall, Justin Grizzle, Daniel Shuler, Allison Johnson, Melissa Foster, and B.J. Ledford; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; other extended relatives; and friends.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at 4:00 PM from the Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Joey Patterson officiating. Music was provided by Rev. Joey Patterson, Lindy Patterson, and Kevin O'Neal. Interment followed in the Patterson Cemetery. Pallbearers were Justin Grizzle, Andy Grizzle, Trent Galloway, Heath Davenport, Dawson Heaton, and Matthew Postell. Condolences may be left for the family online at www.akinscobb.com
