Mrs. Mary Alice Lou Jackson, age 76, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Jackson was born in Fannin County, GA on February 3, 1937 to the late John Thomas Rhodes and Velmer Marie Cole Rhodes. She was a member of Sunrise Tabernacle and was preceded in death by her husband Johnnie Benjamin Jackson. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Merrill and Janet Jackson of Blue Ridge, Dale and Lisa Jackson of Mineral Bluff, GA and Johnnie Keith Jackson of Blue Ridge; daughters, Kathy Henderson and Ashley Cruse, both of Blue Ridge; brothers, Elbert Rhodes and John Harold Rhodes, both of Blue Ridge; sisters, Judy Stewart of Blue Ridge, Daisy Goddard of Blairsville, GA and Kat Stewart of Blue Ridge; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A special thanks to Judy and John Stewart. Funeral services were held Sunday, November 24, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Jeff Fair and Rev. Dale Jackson officiating. Music was by Lisa Jackson, Brittany Nations, and Tim Nicholson. Pallbearers were Merrill Jackson, Jr., Ron Hynson, Eric Nations, Harold Rhodes, Marshall Rhodes, and Roger Martin. Honorary pallbearer was Jeremy Danner. Interment followed in Sunrise Tabernacle Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
