Mary Christine Arp Hyde, age 81, of the Life Care Center of Copper Basin passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2015. Mrs. Hyde was a daughter of the late Carl Arp, Sr and Ruby Brockman Arp. She had owned and operated Arp's Restaurant for several years. She was a member of the Copperhill United Methodist Church. She had driven the MATS Bus in Fannin County for six years and had delivered meals to the disabled and elderly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Lewis Hyde.She is survived by sons, Dexter (Dickie) and wife, Betty Ann Womble of Turtletown, TN, Christopher Hyde of Epworth, GA; daughters, Tara Akins of Copperhill, TN, Tina Golden of McCaysville, GA; Brother, Carl Arp, Jr (Sharon) of Ducktown, TN; Sisters, Charlotte (Jerry) Sisson of Blue Ridge, GA, Carol Ann (Donnie) Dockery of Blue Ridge, GA, Claretta (John) Cheek of Calhoun, GA; Special friend, Cora Griffin Seabrook; grandchildren, Corsie Akins, Megan Womble, Sarah Womble, Christina Golden, Harley Golden, Cohutta Hyde, Ivy Hyde, Kevin Chamaty and Rheagan Chamaty; great grandchildren, Mia Lauren Golden and Hunter Kyle Merrell; many other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 19th at 2:00 p.m. from the Copperhill United Methodist Church with Rev. Harold Willis and Rev. David Anderson officiating. Music will be provided by Jerri Sue Massengale and Jennifer Danner. Interment will follow in the Copper Ridge Memory Gardens with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Andy Arp, Jason Sisson, Brian Arp, Tim Dockery, Anthony Sisson and Ryan Dockery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 p.m. Memorials in memory of Mrs. Hyde may be sent to the Fannin County Meals on Wheels or the Fannin County M.A.T.S. at 440 West First Street, Blue Ridge, GA 30513.
