The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces memorial services for Mary "Amelia" Grant Hughes, DDS, age 51, of Mineral Bluff, GA who passed away Thursday April 29, 2010. She practiced at Talbot Dental in Ellijay, GA. She was a member of New Vision Pentecostal in Ellijay, GA. Survivors include her husband of nineteen years, J.D. Hughes; of Mineral Bluff; two sons, James Avery Hughes and Henry Grant Hughes both of Mineral Bluff; mother, Jane Whitehead of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Charles Whitehead Grand and James Wallace Grant, Jr. both of Hartwell, GA. Memorial Services will be conducted Saturday May 1, at 2:00 p.m. from the McCaysville Church of God. A meal of fellowship will follow the service at the McCaysville Church of God.
