Mary Evelyn Goss, age 70, of Turtletown, TN, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019 in the Fannin Regional Hospital. Mary was born in Copperhill, TN and was a daughter of the late Fred and Rethal Loudermilk Walden. She was a homemaker and attended Turtletown Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Freda Stillwell of McCaysville, GA. She is survived by her loving husband of fifty three years, Melvin Gene Goss, Sr of Turtletown, TN; Children, Sheryl (Brad) Miller of Ducktown, TN, Tracy (Charles) McGill of Demorest, GA, Melvin (Boe) and (Lisa) Goss, Jr of Turtletown, TN; brothers, Fred Marion Walden, Jr of Cherokee Hills, TN, Sandy Walden of McCaysville, GA; sister, Carol Gaguski of McCaysville, GA; seven grandchildren, Travis Miller, Bridget Miller, Brittany Campbell, Whitney Miller, Eric McGill, Cassidy Goss and Kaitlyn Goss; six great-grandchildren, Hayden Lowery, Bailey Miller, Bella Gibson, Damon Miller, Kyrie Miller and Eli Taphorn. A private funeral service will be held Thursday, February 21. 2019 from the Goss Family Cemetery with Brother Ronnie Dillard officiating. Pallbearers include Travis Miller, Eric McGill, Brad Miller, Charles McGill, Ricky Goss and Jarrod Payne.
