Mary Elaine Panter Green, age 72 of Blue Ridge, GA passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2010 in the Fannin Regional Hospital. Mary was born on September 25, 1937 to the late Walter Leander and Bertha Katherine Ward Panter. She worked in a clothing manufacturing as a machine operator. Mary attended Friendship #3 Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Porter and sister, Gaynell Walker. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Charlie and Rhonda Green of Blue Ridge, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Charles Payne of Chatsworth, GA; brothers, Edward Panter of McCaysville, GA and Jimmy Panter of Blue Ridge, GA. Memorial services were conducted Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. from Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Ernest German officiating. Music was by Eddie Panter and Robert Buchanan.
