The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces the death of Mrs. Mary Dye, 92, of Blue Ridge, GA who passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 surrounded by her family at Fannin Regional Hospital. She was born on August 17, 1917 in Eaton IN to the late Fern and Iva Lue King Scull. Mrs. Dye was married to the late Mr. Mark Dye for fifty-eight years. They lived in Hartford City and Albion, IN. She was a member of the Blue Ridge Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She moved to Blue Ridge in 1998 to be near her family; brother, Norman Hawn of Blue Ridge; niece Lynn Eggley and family of Blue Ridge and nephew, George Dye and family of Winter Haven, FL. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 in Upland IN with Ralph Pepple officiating. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. from Blue Ridge Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
