Mary Lou Cross Dillard, age 71, of Mineral Bluff, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2019. She was born on April 18, 1948, in Mineral Bluff to Wendell Garfield Cross and Eula Mae Roberson Cross. She was a member of Union Baptist Church. She worked as a Sewing Machine Operator for Levi Strauss. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Ralph Cecil Cross, Ruby Ann Cross, and Winston Cross. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, William Lee Roy Dillard; and siblings and their spouses, Betty Jean Tarpley, Jeanette Cross, Charles and Charlene Cross, Randall and Miranda Cross, Benny and Gay Cross, Henry Cross, Bill and Hazel Cross, and Delores Cross. Funeral services were conducted on Friday, September 20, 2019 from Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with Rev. Doyle Davis officiating. Music was provided by Phillip Thomas. Interment followed in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Bradley Davis, Nathan Stanley, Sir John Davis, Chris Crowder, Ronnie Henson, Zeke Henson, and Jim Falls.
