Mrs. Mary Lou Ausburn, age 77, of Blue Ridge, Georgia passed away on March 31, 2023 in Blue Ridge, Georgia. She was born on November 15, 1945 to the late Walter Gilbert and Mary Lou Gilbert. She worked as a paraprofessional for the Fannin County Board of Education for 30 years, where she was passionate about working with children. Most of her career was spent at West Fannin Elementary School.

She was preceded in death by her parents;sons, David Walter Ausburn and Craig Ausburn; and sister, Carol Beecher.

Survivors include her son, Keith(Amy) Ausburn of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; grandchildren, Jack and Madison Ausburn of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; and niece, Kathy Albrightton of Albany, Georgia.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Paul Ray Morgan officiating. Pallbearers will be Vaughn Stillwell, Corey Stillwell, Ryan Crago, Philip Barker,Joel Smith, and Terry Stanley. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Saturday, April 8, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour of 2:00 p.m. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at the Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery.
