Mary Alice Davis, age 80, of Ellijay, Georgia passed away on April 3, 2024 in Jasper, Georgia. She was born on May 7, 1943 in Ellijay, Georgia to the late William Howard Hensley and Annie Lois Runyan Hensley. Mrs. Davis had a great love for animals, which led her to volunteer for the Homeward Bound Animal Rescue for many years. She also enjoyed gardening, painting, doing arts and crafts, and reading a good book.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Glen H. Davis; and brothers, Willard C. Hensley and J. Wilburn Hensley.

She is survived by her children, Lydia Davis Biermacher (Karl) of Cleveland, GA and J. Brian Davis of East Ellijay, GA; siblings, Shirley Jo Hensley York of Ellijay, GA and Wilford Hensley (Alma) of Ellijay, GA; a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
