Mary Ellen Adams, age 82, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away on September 29, 2021 in the Union County Nursing Home. She was born in Fannin County, GA to the late William Herbert Gilliam and Eddie Lee Morris Gilliam. She had worked at Levi Strauss and Whitepath Fabtech for a number of years. She was a long time member of the Hipps Chapel Church. Mrs. Adams was also preceded in death by her siblings, William "Bill" Gilliam, Helen Garrett and Bessie Holloway. Survivors include her loving husband of 65 years, Bob Adams of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Kristy Adams of Macon, GA; grandson, Mike and wife Nicole Adams of Canton, GA; great grandchildren, Allison Adams, Sawyer Adams, Brooklyn Adams and Peyton Adams; brother and sister-in-law, James Willis Gilliam and Leigh of Buford, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Darrell Bennett of Powder Springs, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be conducted on Monday, October 4, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Delmar Davenport officiating. Music will be by Darrell Bennett.
