Danny Martin "Marty" Galloway, age 77, of Epworth passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Copper Basin Health & Rehab. Marty was born on November 15, 1945 in Murphy, NC to the late JD. and Grace Galloway. He graduated as a member of the class of 1963 from West Fannin High School. After graduation, Marty worked as an instrument electrician at Tennessee Chemical Company and served in the Army National Guard for 6 years receiving an honorable discharge as a sergeant E-5. He was a loyal fan of his beloved Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with family. Marty was a member of Ocoee Street Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Jo Ann and Ray Lents; and sister-in-law, Dionne Galloway.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Gayle Brooks Galloway of the home; son, Monty Galloway of Ducktown, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Milly and Mark Rice of Epworth, GA; grandchildren, Morgan (Justin) Owenby, Mason (Tristan) Galloway, Hunter Rice, Noah Rice, Matthan Galloway, and Gracie Rice; great-grandchildren, Stetson Owenby and Beau Galloway; brothers, Mike (Jennie) Galloway of Blue Ridge, GA, and Mickey Galloway of McCaysville, GA; daughter-in-law, Missy Galloway of Epworth, GA; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Memorial services were conducted on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ocoee Street Church of Christ with Min. Travis Byars and Min. Keith Ritchie officiating. Interment will follow in the Church of Christ Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital at www.stjude.org.
