Obituary

Mrs. Martha Jane Wooten, age 78, of Farner, TN, passed away on June 15, 2023 at her residence. She was a life long native of Polk County, TN and the daughter of the late Lloyd and Mattie Womble Dunn. She retired from the Life Care Center after several years in housekeeping. Martha loved sitting on her porch watching her chickens and all of the birds. She really enjoyed camping meanwhile spending time with her family and friends. Martha was a member of Community Baptist Church where she loved to worship, fellowship and singing gospel music. She will always be remembered for cutting up with friends, helping people and being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. Preceding her in death includes her parents, husband, J.C. Bell; daughter, Bernice Bell; grandchild, Heather Rochelle Trentham; brother, Jack Dunn; sister and her husband, Regina and Goldie Taylor; brothers-in-law, Sonny Payne and Rex Wilcox.

Survivors include her husband, Harvey Mack Wooten of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Pamela Bell of Benton, TN and Timothy Mack "Buck" and Carrie Wooten of Mineral Bluff, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Angela Jane and Ray Raper of Farner, TN; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Wanda Dunn, Bobby and Pat Dunn all of Farner, TN, Wade and April Dunn of Turtletown, TN and Tommy and Rhonda Dunn of Reliance, TN; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rosa Payne of Turtletown, TN, Glenda Faye and Larry Farner of Farner, TN, Kathy Wilcox of Turtletown, TN and Mary Ann and Lee Jones of Farner, TN; sister-in-law, Dean Dunn of Farner, TN; grandchildren, Justin Trentham, Phillip (Dana) Trentham, Cynthia (Logan) Farris, Haven Wooten and Austin Wooten; great grandchildren, Leigha Bradburn, Levi Trentham, Kyren Trentham and Kinsley Wooten; and a host of other relatives and great friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from the Community Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Smith and Rev. Mitchell Allen officiating. Music will be provided by The Fellowship singers. Interment will follow in the Community Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Tim Brawley, Avery Worthy, Edward Payne, Randall Payne, Mike Garrett and Billy Newman. Haven Wooten and Austin Wooten will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.akinscobb.com.
