Martha Poss Williams, age 78, of Morganton, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021 at her home. She was born on June 28, 1943, in Fulton County, GA to the late Hubert H. Poss and Mary Holcomb Poss. Martha was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Williams; son, James Harold Williams; daughters, Debra Williams and Jenece Lee Baker; grandchildren, Lonnie Williams and Ronnie Adams; and her sister, Betty Keckley. She is survived by her children, David (Michelle) Williams of Gainesville, GA and Fred (Tina) Williams of Morganton, GA. She also is survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family members, and friends. Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Akins Funeral Home with Pastor John Rayburg officiating.. Interment followed in Chastain Memorial Park.
