Martha "Mary" Hamby, age 93, of Tellico Plains passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Madisonville Health and Rehab. Mary was born on September 11, 1930 in Farner, TN to the late John and Laura Farner. She was a member of Turtletown Baptist Church.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hubert Cecil Hamby; son, Lloyd Hamby; daughters, Annie Mae Wilkinson and Bernice Hamby; brothers, Leslie Farner, Fred Farner, Robert Lee Farner, Wesley Farner, Paul Farner and Johnny Farner; sisters, Mildred Bates, Louise Cheatham, Onibee Ledford, Veda Dockery, and infant sister; and great-grandchild, Dakota Levi Wilkinson.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Sharon Hamby of Tellico Plains; grandchildren, Charles "Lee" Wilkinson of Copperhill, Eric Wilkinson of Copperhill, Stephen Kelley of Coker Creek, and Gavin Kelley of Coker Creek; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were conducted on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. from the River Hill Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Trantham officiating. Music was provided by Ricky Farner. Serving as pallbearers were Lee Wilkinson, Eric Wilkinson, Gavin Kelley, Eddie Trantham, and Ricky Farner. Condolences may be made to the family online at www.akinscobb.com.
