Martha Melbourne Fidler, age 85, of Blue Ridge, GA died Monday February 9, 2015. She was a long time resident of Fannin County and a devout Christian. She was born in Miami, Florida on November 16, 1929 and was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Meredith Fidler and her parents Cecil William and Emily Cecilia Stelzer Melbourne. Mrs. Fidler was a retired Data System Supervisor from the former Burdine's Department Store in Miami, Florida. After retirement she devoted herself as a full-time needlework artisan. Survivors include daughter Catherine F. Knight of Blue Ridge; two sons and daughters-in-law Mark N. and Nancy H. Fidler of Ocala, Florida and Brad A. and JoLynn G. Fidler of West Palm Beach, Florida; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Kristin and Al Rolle of Ellijay, Georgia; sister-in-law Maxine W. Fidler of Lake Placid, Florida; grandchildren Karen L. Knight of Blue Ridge, Georgia, Emily Freitag and Jason Fidler of Ocala, Florida, Brian Fidler of West Palm Beach, Florida, Shannon Fidler of Savannah, Georgia, and two great grandchildren Audrey Nieves and Raven D. Freitag of Ocala, Florida. A private memorial service was held by family members and interment was at Chastain Memorial Park cemetery. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge was in charge of arrangements. .
