Martha Jean Carroll, age 83, of Elberton, GA, wife of the late Clarence Carroll for thirty nine years, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at her residence. Mrs. Carroll was of the Baptist faith and retired from Elberton Manufacturing and Walmart of Elberton. She is preceded in death by her husband and parents, Carl and Magaline Simonds. Surviving are her children, Leroy and Judy Carroll, Jerry Carroll, Kay Brown and Carla Carroll; grandchildren, Mike and April Carroll, Kevin and Susan Carroll and Chris and Christy Brown; ten great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, December 26, at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with interment following in the Macedonia (Wolf Creek) Church cemetery.
