Martha Ann Callihan, age 74, of Blue Ridge, Georgia passed away on Monday, May 1st, 2023 at her home. She was born on October 10, 1948 in Blue Ridge, to Sallie Ruth Callihan and the late Frank Isaac Callihan. She was a faithful member of Barnes Chapel Baptist Church. Martha had a dedicated career caring for those in need. She was a certified nursing assistant and worked at the Union County Nursing home and the Blue Ridge Healthcare. Martha enjoyed shopping, trying new restaurants, and helping within the church. She was preceded in death by her father; and siblings, Terry Callihan, Frieda Callihan, and Debra Callihan.

Surviors include her loving mother, Sallie Ruth Callihan; aunt, Ann Cheatham (Jimmy); special friends, Marcia Huffman, Betty Hawkins, and Gwen Butler. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. David Mashburn and Rev. Joe Condra officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Terry Callihan, Ed Hawkins, Randy Helton, Jason Hall, Steve Green, Bud Kirby, and Jared Helton. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Thursday, May 4, 2023 prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour of 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ms. Callihan to the Sugar Creek Baptist Cemetery fund to C/0 Jimmy Cox at 1077 Cox Road Blue Ridge, Georgia 30513.
