Marla Lynn Kirkland, age 59, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Union General Hospital in Blairsville, GA. She was born on January 28, 1963, in Duluth, GA to Bill Kirkland and Jean Kathleen Gilreath Kirkland. She is preceded in death by her father, Bill Kirkland. Marla is survived by her mother; Kathleen Kirkland; sons, Jason Kirkland and Austin Kirkland; significant other, James Grindstaff; sister, Rhonda Kirkland, and brother, Michael Kirkland. Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, June 24, 2022 from the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery at 6:00 pm. Pallbearers will be Jason Kirkland, Michael Kirkland, Josh Twiggs, James Grindstaff, and Austin Kirkland. The family will receive friends at Akins-Cobb of Blue Ridge on Friday evening from 4:00 pm until 5:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to help defray final expenses.
