Marjorie Lee Hughes, age 85 of Cisco GA passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, GA. She was born on August 11, 1935 in Etowah, TN to the late William J. Dean and Hazel Ruth Morgan Dean. Marjorie in her earlier years worked at Levi Strauss and Company and later retired from Mohawk. She was a member of Legacy Community Church. Marjorie was a loving grandmother who made her grandchildren her job and hobby. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Jimmy Dean, Jay Dean, Jesse Dean, Jerry Dean, Mary Dean and Bill Dean. Survivors are her children, Ronnie Hughes (Linda) of Cisco, GA, Wayne Hughes (Atress) of Clinton, TN, Donna Kennedy (Randy) of Chatsworth, GA and Cindy Reid (Rev. Mark) of Turtletown; grandchildren, Kimberly Carroll, Sheila Hughes, Johnny Kennedy, Shanda Crowe, Jordan Hughes, Dakota Crowe, Colten Reid, Trevor Reid, Tyler Duggan and Angie Leatherwood; great-grandchildren, Yance Bryan, Kaitlyn Carroll, Hunter Myers, Shawn Myers, Tyler Schmidt, Kourtney Schmidt, Jayda Patterson and Sarah Patterson; great-great grandchildren, Addison Bryan, Lakelynn Myers, Wyatt Bryan, Austyn Belcher and Khloe Green; brothers, Tom Dean of Canton, GA and Joe Dean (Arlene) of Nelson, GA; aunts, Olliemay Rayburn of Etowah, TN and Betty Watson of Etowah, TN; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, January 17, 2021 from the Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Mark Reid officiating. Music was by Rev. Mark Reid, Janice Reid, Shad Baliles and Terry Baliles. Interment followed in the Legacy Community Church Cemetery with a dove release. Pallbearers were Yance Bryan, Hunter Myers, Shawn Myers, John Carroll, Tommy Dean and Steve Dean. Honorary Pallbearers were Dakota Crowe and Johnny Kennedy.
