Mrs. Marion Rebecca McMullen Young, age 85 of Blue Ridge, GA who passed away on her birthday, August 28, 2010 in Marietta, GA. Born in Flint, MI she was the daughter of the late John Basil and Muriel Monahan McMullen. She was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith. Survivors include her husband, Albert Young of Blue Ridge, GA; one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Keith Farmer of Woodstock, GA; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Dora McMullen of Lapeer, MI; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Arlene Hayes of Davison, MI and Vivian and Ron Heidel of Dryden, MI; two grandchildren, Cindy and husband, Gary Carpenter and Michael Cheek; two great grandchildren, Christy Carpenter and Michelle Carpenter also survive. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tom Jordan officiating.
